Oscar Escobar

Director of Events and Advocacy

Oscar Escobar is a graduate of Emory University where he double majored in International Studies and East Asian Studies. Oscar is an aspiring international educator, policy analyst, and social entrepreneur. He is passionate about working with people from all walks of life and developing innovative solutions to pressing issues in their communities. Oscar grew up in Orlando, FL and comes from a family of immigrants from Ecuador and Nicaragua. During high school, he took a school trip to China, which spurred an interest in working with international students as well as an interest in East Asian cultures and languages. Upon entering Emory, he became involved in a number of programs geared towards initiating polycultural exchange and celebrating global diversity. As a member of the Re’Generation team, Oscar is now bringing in these experiences to advocate for refugee communities and to promote peacebuilding initiatives.
