Paul Mvukiye-Reeser

Paul is an experienced peacebuilder, community leader, facilitator, teacher, and friend. You can often find him playing, dancing, singing or creating art with young people in the Clarkston community where he has lived and worked for over 10 years. Paul is a familiar face in schools, neighborhoods, nonprofit organizations, community centers and religious spaces where he has led collaborative, peace and justice initiatives in the Clarkston community. These initiatives include Peace Playground which teaches nonviolence through creative forms of expression like art, dance, drama, poetry and music, Conflict Transformation groups is a school-based program where young people learn about engaging conflict in transformative and healthy ways, and Community Cirlces where young people explore important topics like safety and peace. The diversity of peacebuilding initiatives Paul has led range from sports and arts to agriculture and faith. Paul believes young people embody the future and has invested his life in the transformational power of these young lives. Paul will be leading the Peacebuilder Academy at Re’Generation Movement. He is excited to join young peacebuilders as a co-learner, practice partner and mentor as they imagine a more beautiful, just and peaceful world.
Paul holds a Master's degree from the Center for Justice & Peacebuilding where he studied restorative justice and conflict transformation.
