Re’Generate for Myanmar
At Re’Generation Movement, the goal to empower peacemaking global diasporas continues. While political strife in the United States jeopardizes voting rights for disenfranchised American citizens, ongoing developments under the military junta in Myanmar has revealed that democracy continues to be threatened everywhere around the world.
Since the coup d’etat in Myanmar that occurred on February 1st, 2021, hundreds of people have lost their lives as a democratically elected government was forcibly removed. We at Re’Generation Movement continue to support our students during this difficult time, and condemn all acts of violence. We firmly believe that each individual carries the opportunity to create a harmonious society and stand in solidarity with our students and the people of Myanmar.
